‘It’s a good start’ — FUT Esports players react to their second-place finish at the 2026 Esports World Cup in CS2

FUT Esports players and their coach posted on their personal X accounts, sharing their thoughts after losing to Team Spirit in the 2026 Esports World Cup final.

Yasin “xfl0ud” Koch, for example, highlighted his team’s potential:

We lost to Team Spirit in the EWC final. We had a chance to close out the match 3-0, but our lack of experience caught up with us. Second place is a good start. We’ll learn from this final and continue to strive for better results. I’m proud of my team!

Coach András “coolio” Ferchak thanked Team Spirit for the match and praised the atmosphere at Accor Arena:

We took 2nd place at the Esports World Cup. Thanks for the game, Team Spirit!

Our run in the tournament has come to an end. Competing on such a big stage is a dream that has finally come true.

Rifler Jugas “dziugss” Steponavičius was disappointed with the result of the final but emphasized the importance of continuing to work hard:

We lost to Team Spirit 1-3. It’s a little sad because we could very well have won Anubis and Ancient, but that’s life. We need to focus on preparing for the next tournament.

For his part, Dmitry “dem0n” Miroshnichenko thanked FUT Esports fans for their support:

We need to keep training so we can win next time! Thanks to everyone for the amazing support. It meant a lot to us. Love you guys!
