jks after FlyQuest’s elimination from the IEM Cologne Major 2026: “This year hasn’t been going the best for us so far.”

FlyQuest rifler Justin “jks” Savage commented on the team’s elimination from the tournament in an interview at IEM Cologne Major 2026, explained the reasons for their poor performance against paiN Gaming, and summed up the team’s performance at the championship.
On the match against paiN Gaming
On Nuke, they were just constantly one step ahead of us. I think we had a decent game plan, but maybe we didn’t follow it very well. Well, what’s done is done. And on Anubis, we started very slowly. Unfortunately, this happens in a lot of our matches. And yes, we made a small attempt to get back into the game. But obviously, when you’re down so many rounds, it’s very hard to come back.
On FlyQuest’s performance at the tournament
Obviously, this year hasn’t been going the best for us so far. We had limited time to practice. But we made the most of what we had. And yes, of course, it’s a little disappointing. I’m glad we made it to Stage 2, but we were hoping to put on a better show there. Obviously, there are a lot of strong teams here. On the first day, our matches were pretty close. Today, not so much. Of course, that’s disappointing. Thanks to everyone who supports us. And we’ll see what happens next season.
Earlier in the second stage of the IEM Cologne Major 2026, FlyQuest lost to paiN Gaming 0-2 in a knockout match. Justin “jks” Savage’s team finished the tournament in 23rd–24th place, earning $10,000 in prize money.
