Katkame: “Playing on FACEIT is really tough.”

Team Vitality Academy sniper Ulysses “Katkame” Thibault discussed in the latest episode of the All About Counter-Strike podcast how he practices the game in his free time, described his style as a sniper, and reflected on the talent of Mathieu “ZywOo” Erbo.
On practice
For a long time, FACEIT was tough for me. I kept losing and finding myself in bad positions. Yeah, playing on FACEIT is really tough. So I figured I’d better work on improving myself. On the other hand, I’ve never liked watching replays. But at the same time, I wanted to play more, and I didn’t like FACEIT—it was hard. But that’s all in the past now. Now I enjoy FACEIT when I have free time, and if I lose, I don’t stress about it—I just keep playing. If I don’t feel like playing FACEIT, I just play DM.
On the sniper role
I really like m0NESY’s playstyle, so I’d like to have a similar one. But, on the other hand, flicks aren’t my strong suit. So my style is probably more like ZywOo’s. At the same time, it’s aggressive and energetic, like m0NESY’s. So I think I’ll combine elements of both.
On ZywOo
I think ZywOo would play better in a role like, say, donk. Then he’d have a rating of, I don’t know, about 1.5. I won’t lie—he’s truly incredible with a rifle as an entry player. He plays very well. And if you combined m0NESY and ZywOo, with ZywOo as the rifler, that would be an unbeatable team.
In the previous episode of the podcast, Ulysses “Katkame” Thibault named Team Vitality’s main advantage, talked about how he joined the academy team, and shared his thoughts on international rosters.
