I think our communication has improved significantly. We were much calmer in crucial matches—that allowed us to play better and make the right decisions. We were also able to maintain the right mindset throughout the entire tournament. Thanks to this progress, we managed to reach the finals.

It’s very important for us to stay calm on the server because we have a lot of emotional players. The calmer we communicate, the better we perform. I think we need to keep working on our communication. At first, it was hard to find common ground, since some of the guys didn’t have experience playing on international teams. Now, after two months of training, it’s much easier for us to communicate. We’re making progress in that area.

So far, we’ve only had ourselves to blame for our losses. I’m not taking anything away from the teams that beat us. However, we make a lot of basic mistakes when we start losing. Lately, our results have improved—partly thanks to staying calm and being able to control our emotions.
