3DMAX rifler Lucas “Lucky” Chastang spoke in an interview at the Esports World Cup 2026 following the team’s loss to magic and the French squad’s elimination from the tournament.
Of course, we’re incredibly sad; we’re disappointed because we’ve worked so hard over the past few months. Our setback here has had a negative impact.
They played pretty well, and we couldn’t find our rhythm, even though we were confident going into the match. We had a game plan, but everything went wrong.
Perhaps the pressure got to us, because overall we were holding our own, but individual mistakes let us down. Our opponents shot well, and we were feeling the stress—that cost us dearly.
I’m not sure yet, but I suppose we’ll keep grinding. I think we deserve better than this. We’ll keep working hard to earn more VRS points, since we don’t have enough right now.
Earlier, magic defeated 3DMAX 2–0, winning Dust2 13–6 and Ancient 13–7. As a result of the match, the French team finished the Esports World Cup 2026 CS2 tournament in 25th–32nd place.
