magixx on Team Spirit’s CS2 roster: “If I get my act together, we’ll become much stronger.”

Boris “magixx” Vorobyov, shared his thoughts in an interview at BLAST Bounty Summer 2026 following the victory over OG, commented on his team’s current form, and spoke about the impact of not having a coach during matches.
On his feelings after the victory over OG
Of course, this match turned out to be quite exhausting and intense because of all the twists and turns that happened during it. Everyone uses excuses like this, but still, it was our first game after a long break. Personally, I’ve always found these kinds of matches difficult throughout my career. Our energy level was extremely low, and that’s largely because we’re not used to playing matches this late. A similar example that comes to mind is our match against Astralis at the EPL, when we arrived at the studio at night and had to wait another three hours or so for the match to start, without computers or anything else. If you have a lot of late games throughout the season, then, of course, they get easier each time.
On Team Spirit’s current form
I need to get better as a captain because I feel like the guys around me are incredibly talented. If I can pull myself together, we’ll become much stronger. There were glimmers of hope in the last three tournaments. At least in terms of individual form and teamwork, everything was on point. As soon as we play a few more official matches and get into the competitive groove, I think we’ll be able to perform well. I hope our results will be even better than before.
On the coach’s absence from official matches
I wouldn’t say that Hally’s absence from official matches affects me in any way—I don’t really care. As captain, it doesn’t interfere with anything for me, because I have my own screen right in front of me, along with our playbooks and game plan, for which I’m responsible. Of course, the coaching staff helps a lot with preparation, but personally, I feel that I need to do much more for the team.
Yesterday, Team Spirit defeated OG at BLAST Bounty Summer 2026 in a best-of-3 series with a 2-1 map score. As a result of the match, Boris “magixx” Vorobyov’s team secured their spot in the next round of the online stage of the championship.
