Mauisnake on cobrazera: “I don’t think he’ll ever be able to fully replace Senzu.”

Analysts Duncan “Thorin” Shields, Alexander “kassad” Trifunović, and Alex “Mauisnake” Ellenberg discussed the departure of Azbayar “Senzu” Munhbold’s departure from The MongolZ, reflected on the team’s challenges, and compared the Mongolian rifler to Anarbileg “cobrazera” Uugunbayar.
On Senzu’s departure from The MongolZ
Thorin: The official reason given for Senzu’s departure from The MongolZ is burnout. That would make sense if he were currently playing for a team on the level of G2. But just recently, Senzu was playing for Passion UA. No one in their right mind would say, “I’m a little tired of The MongolZ, so I’ll skip this Major and join BC.Game instead.” This story makes no sense at all. Even the financial aspect is unlikely to have influenced Senzu’s decision to that extent.
On the team’s problems
kassad: The MongolZ will drop out of the top 20 in the world rankings by the end of 2026. To be honest, I feel sorry for this team. They assembled a roster of players from Mongolian internet cafes and achieved great success with them. The whole country followed their matches. However, The MongolZ then lost Senzu and has been struggling ever since. At first, they stayed afloat thanks to their established structure, but with each passing month, the problems are becoming more and more obvious. Unless some standout player joins the team, TYLOO could very well overtake them in the race for the title of Asia’s best team.
On the difference between Senzu and cobrazera
Mauisnake: I’d rank Senzu 9th or 10th on the list of the best players of 2025. The MongolZ decided to bring in cobrazera to replace him. He’s shown flashes of talent and has performed quite well. However, I don’t think he’ll ever be able to fully replace Senzu. Cobrazera’s best performance came in the match against FURIA during the PGL Cluj-Napoca 2026 playoffs. Still, I can’t think of anything else, whereas I’ve seen dozens of similar performances from Senzu. Right now, The MongolZ clearly lacks a leader capable of taking control of the game.
Earlier in the podcast, Thorin, kassad, and Mauisnake discussed the need for roster changes at Natus Vincere, assessed the “Born to Win” team’s performance at the IEM Cologne Major 2026, and compared that team to Team Falcons.
