Mauisnake on sycrone: “He’s one of the few indispensable coaches”

I believe that when you have an IGL who’s a really good shooter, it sometimes allows you to compete for victory in matches where you otherwise wouldn’t be the favorite. Even huNter-, for example, had a rating of 1.09 when he won that tournament in London. And that helps—it really does. Okay, I know everyone talks about how karrigan can have a 0.5 rating and still win tournaments, but that’s a bit of an exception. He’s not the norm. And I think that even if you look at history, there have been quite a few instances where a captain unexpectedly performed very well in a tournament that his team ended up winning. And that obviously helps the team in a way.

PR has had to shift his mindset a bit compared to when he was with GamerLegion. I’ve already seen enough flashes of promise from xelex and PR to take a stance that’s rare for me and say: I’m willing to give them a little more time. I’m also willing to wait and see, especially since some other title contenders appear to be struggling or showing inconsistency—for example, Team Falcons or Team Vitality. I don’t think MOUZ will become a consistent contender for the title. That is, I don’t think they’ll be a top-3 team, but I can definitely see them in the top tier.

Another reason why I believe so strongly in MOUZ is sycrone. Right now, I consider him one of the top three coaches in the world. I think he’ll be able to get more out of these players than some other coaches, who—in my opinion—are just placeholders and could probably be replaced by a few other people. sycrone is irreplaceable. He’s one of the few truly irreplaceable coaches.
