9z Team sniper Ignacio “meyern” Meyer commented on his team’s advancement to the third stage of the tournament in an interview at the IEM Cologne Major 2026, and also outlined the team’s goals for the near future.
“I’m just speechless. I’m so happy for all the guys; they deserve this, we all deserve this. Since the beginning of the year, we haven’t seen our families and friends; we’ve been cut off from them, so we’ve earned this. We want to play more and get better. I think we’re on the right track. I’d also like to thank everyone who supports us,” —meyern, 9z Team’s sniper.
Earlier today, 9z Team faced TYLOO in a match of the second stage of the IEM Cologne Major 2026, which determined who would advance to the third stage of the tournament. The Chinese team lost to their opponents in straight sets: 10-13 on Overpass and 6-13 on Inferno.
