molodoy on FURIA: “We have a feel for the game and understand each other perfectly.”

FURIA sniper Danil “molodoy” Golubenko spoke in an interview at the IEM Cologne Major 2026 following his team’s victory over MOUZ and reflected on the reasons behind the “Panthers’” strong performance at this tournament.
On the successful start to the tournament
Maybe I didn’t expect us to start our run at the Major with a 2-0 record, but now I can say with confidence that we have every chance to put on a great performance here. Right now, everyone on the team is giving it their all.
On the victory over MOUZ on Overpass
Before the first buy round on Overpass, Marek told me, “You can go short—they probably won’t expect that.” I replied, “Sure, why not?” and got a kill there. Then we took a few more rounds and went up 6-0. I think it was really hard for MOUZ to get back into the game after that.
About FURIA
Our team is gradually getting back to peak form. I think it’s because I’ve changed my approach to CS, plus we’re feeling the game and understand each other perfectly. At PGL Astana and BLAST Rivals Fort Worth, it felt like we’d lost our winning spirit. Now, though, we’re doing everything in our power and hoping for better results.
FURIA defeated MOUZ 2-1 on the second day of the third stage of the IEM Cologne Major 2026. Today, the “Panthers” will face BetBoom Team for a spot in the championship playoffs—this match will take place at 7:30 p.m. Moscow time.
