MIBR sniper Lucas “nqz” Soares, in an interview at the Esports World Cup 2026, compared the systems of his new team and paiN Gaming, discussed his adjustment to an international roster, and reflected on his current standing in the world rankings.
On the difference between paiN Gaming and MIBR
I think MIBR follows scripts a lot, while paiN offers much more freedom. Maybe captain LNZ, who came from Europe, plays a decisive role... I don’t know, but this team really has a different approach to things. The guys have a lot of pre-planned plays under different names. I’m gradually getting used to it now.
On adapting to MIBR
I’m still adjusting to the team’s structure, and I’d say my biggest challenge right now is communicating in English. That said, we’re not standing still—we’re constantly making progress. The guys are incredibly friendly, and there’s a great atmosphere within the team. I’m very happy to be part of MIBR.
On the team’s current situation
We’re trying to compete for invites to Tier 1 tournaments. VRS points are incredibly important right now. Every win we can secure here will have a major impact on our position in the global rankings.
