One half of the 2026 Esports World Cup CS2 playoff bracket is significantly stronger than the other based on Valve ranking points. This was pointed out by Reddit user Evening-Medium6403, who compared the teams based on their positions within each half of the bracket.
For the comparison, eight teams from each half of the bracket were selected and ranked from strongest to weakest based on their points in Valve’s global ranking. When comparing teams in the same positions, the same half of the bracket proved to be stronger in all eight cases.
The largest gap is observed among the strongest teams: the lead in first place is 138 points (between MOUZ and Team Spirit), in second place—179 (between FURIA and Team Falcons), and in third place—146 (between Aurora Gaming and Team Vitality). The gaps in subsequent positions are 114, 110, 122, 133, and 72 points, respectively.

The Esports World Cup 2026 Counter-Strike 2 playoffs will take place August 19–23 in Paris. Matches on August 19–22 will take place at the Paris Expo Porte de Versailles, while the final day of competition will be held at the Accor Arena.
