PARIVISION coach Dastan “dastan” Akbaev answered fans’ questions during the COACH SPEAK livestream. Here’s a quick rundown of the highlights in our article.
According to dastan, slaxejezzz was unable to gel with the rest of the PARIVISION roster and did not show the expected progress. Nevertheless, the coach considers Vyacheslav a young and talented player who will be able to make a name for himself on the pro scene in the future.
The coach also touched on HObbit’s adaptation—Abay is focused on regaining his peak form and trains every day; moreover, they’ve developed good chemistry in terms of understanding and building their gameplay.
The coach revealed that PARIVISION will soon participate in three major tournaments—ESL Pro League Season 24, the Thunderpick World Championship 2026, and an unannounced LAN event in Belgrade. The team’s results at these tournaments will influence its chances of qualifying for the PGL Singapore Major 2026. Although PARIVISION’s current form is inconsistent, its players are hoping to gain more experience and prove themselves in official matches.
dastan commented on Natus Vincere’s slump. He believes the organization failed to make meaningful signings in the transfer market. Despite this, its Counter-Strike 2 roster remains experienced and capable of giving top rivals a run for their money.
The coach reflected on the reasons behind PARIVISION’s lack of aggression. He noted that not all maps in their rotations lend themselves to aggressive play, but his team would likely have achieved greater success by playing more aggressively.
The PARIVISION coach also addressed the slow development of the Kazakhstani pro scene. In his opinion, the lack of wealthy sponsors and high ping contribute to the scarcity of talent in the country; however, even now, demente and kumao are putting on strong performances at LAN tournaments. For their part, molodoy and mo0N, who have managed to break into the Tier 1 scene, play on teams with experienced players and an established system.
dastan described a typical training day for PARIVISION. The team consistently plays five practice matches and engages in lengthy discussions. On average, the team dedicates 10 hours a day to training. Currently, the coach is working on refining teamplay and communication within the roster, as the level of coordination on the pro scene has increased significantly over the past few years.
The coach sometimes fears that PARIVISION won’t qualify for the upcoming Major and will drop to Tier 3—in which case the organization’s management will reconsider its stance toward the team. However, dastan noted that truly strong players are capable of pulling through even the most difficult situations.
In addition, Akbaev discussed various team structures. He believes that a system with a rifler serving as the in-game leader makes the game easier, but in cohesive lineups, having a sniper as captain often becomes an advantage.
Earlier, Alexey “NickelBack” Trofimov appeared on the OFF The Record podcast to discuss the need for roster changes at Natus Vincere, assess PARIVISION’s current form, and highlight the top favorites to win ESL Pro League Season 24.
