Pimp named Team Vitality the top favorite for the 2026 Esports World Cup in CS2
Analyst Jakob “Pimp” Winneche shared his expectations for Team Vitality’s performance in the Counter-Strike 2 playoffs of the 2026 Esports World Cup on his personal page on social media platform X.
I think Team Vitality will win the 2026 EWC in CS2. If not, it will be because Team Falcons beats them before the final. ...> So far, Team Vitality has looked shaky, including losing a best-of-three series to B8 Esports on their way to the playoffs. Team Vitality in the group stage and Team Vitality in the playoffs are usually two different teams.

Earlier, Pimp called Nikolaj “device” Riedtz a more inspiring player for the Counter-Strike community than Mathieu “ZywOo” Erbo. The analyst noted that at the peak of his career, the Dane played methodically and intelligently, so his moves could be studied and replicated, whereas the French sniper’s playing style is much harder to emulate.
