Pimp on Team Liquid’s CS2 roster: “To be honest, right now I don’t see any reason to join that team.”

Team Liquid has realized that it’s no longer the powerhouse it used to be. To be honest, I don’t see any reason to join this team right now. Liquid has an inexperienced coach in flashie, along with veterans NAF and EliGE, who have been on a downward trend for quite some time. A roster like this isn’t capable of attracting young talent or star players. Right now, management needs to create favorable conditions for EliGE and build the team around him.

Liquid recently signed a captain who previously worked with EliGE at Complexity. I agree that for a long time, JT managed to get the team to perform above its actual level. I remember when I was covering Complexity’s matches in the playoffs of major tournaments; I constantly saw how they would always start rounds well, but then give up key clutch moments and get eliminated. JT wasn’t the problem with that team. He played well and brought rounds to 4v2 situations that his teammates couldn’t win. Complexity simply didn’t have the skill needed to beat FaZe or Vitality. If JT performs just as well at Liquid, he’ll definitely be able to bring EliGE to his peak form and get the team back to Tier 1.

Jorko’s move is a gamble, but I like it. Liquid had to replace their ultimate regardless of the market situation. I think Jorko is holding his own so far; he definitely has potential. This transfer looks like a risky move on Team Liquid’s part... Although, if the alternative is playing with ultimate, they might as well sign me. Nothing would change at all.
