Maksim “riskyb0b” Churikov announced on his personal Telegram channel his decision to end his career as a professional gamer and become a coach.

The quote is reproduced with the source’s spelling and punctuation intact

Today I want to share an important decision with you. After much thought, I have decided to end my career as a professional player.

Esports has given me incredible experiences, taught me never to give up, and introduced me to amazing people. I am grateful to every team I’ve played for, every coach, and every player I’ve crossed paths with along the way.

But retiring from competitive play doesn’t mean I’m leaving the discipline behind. I feel that I’ve gained enough experience and knowledge to contribute to the industry in a different capacity. That’s why I’m officially transitioning to the role of coach.

Now my goal is to help new talents reach their full potential and build strong teams. I look forward to applying everything I’ve learned over the years from the coaching bench.

Thank you for supporting me as a player. I hope you’ll continue to support me in this new role as well. <...>
