G2 Esports CS2 coach Eetu “sAw” Saha, in an interview at FISSURE PLAYGROUND 3 — CS, shared his thoughts ahead of the championship’s grand final, discussed the team’s mindset, and commented on the upcoming map selection phase for the match.
We’re mainly focusing on what we’re going to do on the server, rather than on our opponent. Of course, we’ve prepared and watched how our opponents play on most maps, since we’re set to play a best-of-5 series. However, we’ll mainly rely on our own strategies and personal comfort, using that as a foundation moving forward.
I’d say that Legacy and we have a fairly similar map pool from a certain perspective. With that in mind, the veto phase might get a little confusing in terms of which map each side decides to pick. In any case, it seems to me that everyone would like to win on their own peak maps—in our case, that would be Mirage. We’re in for a tough match and a very close series, where the strongest team today will emerge victorious.
G2 Esports is currently facing off against Leracy in the grand final of FISSURE PLAYGROUND 3—CS. At the time of this publication, Eetu “sAw” Saha’s roster is trailing 0–1 in the series after a loss on Ancient.
