Team Spirit sniper Dmitry “sh1ro” Sokolov, in an interview with OFFSTAGE at the Esports World Cup 2026, praised Legacy’s playing style and shared his thoughts ahead of the grand final against FUT Esports.
On the match against Legacy
Overall, we understand how Legacy plays. Again, they play really well, but we understand them anyway—and even so, it was tough for us against them. I mean, we handled it… Not by resisting the pressure, so to speak, but by doing exactly what we needed to do, and we finished the game calmly.
On Legacy’s Ancient pick
I expected something like that might happen, but overall, they didn’t surprise us. That’s all I can say.
On FUT Esports
They’re very aggressive—even today’s match against FURIA showed that; they just played very aggressively. But they snatched that victory, in my opinion, and they deserve to be in the final. It’ll be an interesting match, I think.
Earlier, Legacy lost to Team Spirit in the semifinals of the 2026 Esports World Cup for Counter-Strike 2. Right now, Andrei “arT” Piovessan’s team is playing against FURIA for third place, while the Russian team will face FUT Esports later in the grand final.
