Sonic after defeating MOUZ at StarLadder StarSeries Fall 2026: “Give us Vitality next—no problem.”
NRG’s CS2 rifler, Aran “Sonic” Grusbek shared his thoughts in an interview at StarLadder StarSeries Fall 2026 following the victory over MOUZ, discussed the significance of this achievement for the team, and expressed his preference for their next opponent in the tournament.
On his feelings after the victory over MOUZ
This victory is truly incredibly important to us because, if I’m not mistaken, it’s what qualifies us for the upcoming Major. We should receive a lot of VRS points for this result. We haven’t competed in LAN events for about a month and were really eager to play to show what our new roster is capable of. Ever since hallzerk joined, we’ve had almost no opportunity to compete anywhere, and we’ve faced some challenges even in practice. So I’m really glad we were able to show what we’re made of.
On the loss on Inferno
After the loss on Inferno, it was pretty easy for us to put that result behind us and just move on to the next map. We have a really good atmosphere on the team right now, and I wouldn’t say that any of our players are particularly prone to tilt. We were prepared for this outcome from the start, since we didn’t have enough time to prepare specifically for this map, so our game plan and strategies weren’t perfect. It was tough for us today, but we’ll definitely fix all our mistakes in the future.
On our next opponent
After beating MOUZ, all the pressure is off—there’s no more pressure at all. Bring on Vitality next—no problem. I’d really like to see magic win today. They’re a great young team. I’ve been watching these guys for a while—they’re doing great, and I’m a big fan.
Earlier, NRG defeated MOUZ in the opening round of the upper bracket at StarLadder StarSeries Fall 2026 in a best-of-3 series with a 2-1 map score. Aran “Sonic” Grusbeck’s team advanced to the semifinals, where they will face the winner of the Natus Vincere vs. Aurora Gaming match.
