MOUZ rifler Lotan “Spinx” Giladi shared his thoughts in an interview at the Esports World Cup 2026 CS2 tournament after advancing to the championship playoffs, commented on the team’s championship win at BLAST Bounty Summer 2026, and discussed the roster’s goals for the tournament.
I can say that torzsi had a very successful game, especially in terms of communication, map movement, and decision-making. And the defense on Dust2 is exactly the part of the match where a high-scoring sniper is most valuable. Among other things, we’ve put in a lot of work on this map as a team because, to be honest, we used to perform rather poorly on it. Of course, I had a couple of extremely successful rounds myself, just like the rest of the guys. Overall, it was a solid team performance—we did well.
Of course, it was incredibly satisfying to finally win a major trophy, but we shouldn’t forget that at the event in Malta, we didn’t beat any truly strong opponents—except for Team Spirit. I think all the top teams are looking a little shaky right now, including Team Vitality, Team Spirit, and ourselves. We managed to make it through to the playoffs, but it feels like the teams are still finding their form and getting into their groove at the start of the season. We’ll see what the VRS leaderboard looks like by the end of this tournament.
First and foremost, we have a directive from our coach: we must overcome whatever challenges come our way in the moment. That’s exactly how we played at the tournament in Malta—we beat whoever stood in our way. I’m still hesitant to name a specific goal for us here; we’re still a new team. Personally, I just want to compete on the arena and experience that awesome atmosphere once again.
Today, MOUZ defeated PARIVISION in the decisive group stage match at the 2026 Esports World Cup for CS2 with a score of 2-0 in a best-of-3 series. Lotan “Spinx” Giladi’s team secured their spot in the tournament’s playoffs.
