Team Nemesis players Daniil “Sdaim” Tupov and Evgeny “r3salt” Frolov reported a DDoS attack on the team’s players during their match against 1w Team in the European qualifiers for the Moscow Cyber Games 2026. They shared this information on their personal Telegram channels.

Team Nemesis is now the third team to face a DDoS attack during matches against 1w Team in the qualifiers. Despite the issues, Sdaim and r3salt’s team won 2–1 and advanced to the next stage of the tournament.

1w Team’s sports director, Alexander “Sweetypotz” Shcherbakov, stated that 1w Team players were also targeted during the tournament. According to him, on August 22, during a match against 33, a player on the team reported a DDoS attack. Sweetypotz also urged people not to jump to conclusions about 1w Team’s involvement without confirmed evidence and noted that both sides should have been asked for comment before such accusations were published.

The tournament organizer, GLuck Esports, commented separately on the situation. The company stated that all official matches take place on FACEIT servers, to which the tournament administration has no access. According to the organizers, they cannot obtain players’ IP addresses through the game servers. The tournament organizers also noted that TeamSpeak servers are provided by the teams themselves. The tournament administration does not have access to their control panels and cannot view the IP addresses of connected players.

GLuck Esports CEO Yegor Morin stated that the integrity of the competition and a level playing field for all participants are the company’s top priorities. The organizers promised to continue improving tournament standards and ensuring transparency in the competitive process.
