FlyQuest manager Chris “GoMeZ” Orfanellis complained that the team had not received an invitation to the Asian qualifiers for the Moscow Cyber Games 2026 in CS2. Tournament organizer GLuck Esports responded to him.
GoMeZ stated that FlyQuest should have received an invitation to the qualifiers based on the team’s position in the Valve rankings. Tournament operator GLuck Esports reported that the organizers found the manager’s contact information on [a messaging app] and sent him an invitation via private message on July 23, but did not receive a response until July 29. The tournament operator also noted that the Moscow Cyber Games 2026 page appeared on Liquipedia on July 3, after which teams could contact the organizers directly regarding participation.
GoMeZ countered that no email was sent to FlyQuest, and that the message on [messenger] came from an unknown account in the form of a chat request. According to him, the organizers could also have contacted him via X, directly through the organization, or through the players.
The Asian qualifiers for the Moscow Cyber Games 2026 will take place online from August 22 to 26. The main tournament will take place from October 31 to November 1 in Moscow, with a prize pool of 15,000,000 rubles.
