Team Vitality and Aurora Gaming have advanced to the playoffs of the IEM Cologne Major 2026

Team Vitality defeated BetBoom Team, while Aurora Gaming beat 9z Team in the third stage of the IEM Cologne Major 2026.

In the first match, Aurora Gaming defeated 9z Team 2-0 (13-1 on Nuke and 13-5 on Dust2). In the other match, BetBoom Team faced off against Team Vitality. Kirill “Boombl4” Mikhailov’s team lost to their opponents 8-13 on the first map, Overpass, and then fell short again on Nuke, losing 11-13.

Thus, Team Vitality and Aurora Gaming advanced to the playoffs of the IEM Cologne Major 2026, while BetBoom Team and 9z Team dropped to the 2-2 bracket.

The IEM Cologne Major 2026 is taking place from June 2 to 21 in Germany. Following the three initial stages, the 32 participating teams will determine the 8 squads that will advance to the playoffs. The total prize pool for the championship is $1,250,000.
