Team Vitality and The MongolZ have advanced to the Esports World Cup 2026 CS2 playoffs

Team Vitality and The MongolZ secured victories during the group stage of the 2026 Esports World Cup.

In the first match, Team Vitality defeated Lynn Vision Gaming 2-0 (13-2 on Dust2 and 13-5 on Inferno). In a parallel match, The MongolZ faced off against paiN Gaming. Sodbayaar “Techno4K” Munkhbold’s team swept their opponents—13–10 on Nuke and 13–4 on Inferno.

As a result, Team Vitality and The MongolZ advanced to the Esports World Cup 2026 playoffs, while Lynn Vision Gaming and paiN Gaming finished the tournament in 17th–24th place.

The Esports World Cup 2026 for Counter-Strike 2 is taking place from August 12 to 23 in Paris. A total of 32 teams are participating in the tournament to determine the 16 playoff contenders. The prize pool for the LAN event is $2,000,000.
