TeSeS on working with karrigan: “Overall, things are going well, and the team’s progress is visible.”

Team Falcons rifler René “TeSeS” Madsen spoke in an interview at IEM Cologne Major 2026 about his team’s loss to BetBoom Team, as well as reflecting on playing with Finn “karrigan” Andersen and criticism from the community.

On the loss to BetBoom Team

The match against BetBoom Team was a tough one. We just couldn’t find our rhythm. At the same time, our opponents caught us off guard to some extent. Our team wasn’t prepared for their style of play. We’ve already analyzed this match and corrected some mistakes.

On working with karrigan

Overall, things are going well, and the team’s progress is visible to the naked eye. Of course, our results with karrigan have been mixed so far—there were matches where we had a tough time. However, we’re working hard and trying to fix the issues in our game. It’s also worth noting that we shouldn’t underestimate lower-tier opponents. We need to give it our all and play our best in every match.

On criticism from the community

I don’t really pay attention to the haters. Obviously, my current roles sometimes put me in a bad light, but that’s just the nature of the game. I’ve faced criticism from the community throughout my entire career and have gotten used to it. So the hate doesn’t bother me. I’m here to show my best form. I know the team appreciates me.
