The organizers of WINLINE CIS LAN #7 have tightened their rules following DOORDOM’s disqualification and allegations of cheating.
The organizing committee of the WINLINE CIS LAN tournament series has added a provision to the competition rules regarding disqualification for failure to appear at matches. This new measure is intended to prevent participants from manipulating the schedule.
This change was prompted by the situation involving the DOORDOM team at the current WINLINE CIS LAN #7 tournament. The team was disqualified because it was unable to field a full roster for its match. However, the sanctions did not end there: the organizers have officially launched a full-scale investigation into the team on suspicion of unfair play. The league administration identified a suspicious chain of events during recent championships, indicating that some rosters intentionally manipulate player attendance to gain personal benefits unrelated to sporting results.
In response to such schemes, the referees’ panel has added a new rule that applies to the current and all future events. Now, if—after the official schedule is published—a team is unable to field five registered players for a match without a valid reason, absolutely all of its members will be banned from MPKBK and GLuck Esports events for up to 5 years.
Previously, tournament operator GLuck Esports had suspended the MONSTROUS team from competition. The team’s disqualification from the GLuck Yungstar: Series 2 tournament resulted from complaints regarding the use of banned software. The panel of judges analyzed match recordings and TeamSpeak communications, uncovering evidence of the use of third-party devices. As a result, all players on the roster received a five-year ban from any events organized by this promoter.
