Korb3n speculated that lorenof might replace gpk on BetBoom Team’s Dota 2 roster.
Team Spirit manager Dmitry “Korb3n” Belov commented on Artem “lorenof” Melnik’s performance at The International 2026 during a stream and suggested that the midlaner might end up on BetBoom Team.
Yeah, he’s a solid player, solid. What do you mean, “he’s having bad luck [with rosters]”? He’s in the top 6 at The International—that’s a good result. It’s tough to get into a top-tier roster right now; everything’s already taken. The only thing I thought was... I think he could be on BB, but I think the only reason he’s not on BB is because gpk is coming back. Joining a team where you’re definitely going to get kicked in January really isn’t that great.
Lorenof is currently playing for Astra Invicta at PARI UNIVERSE by FISSURE. The team made it to the playoffs, where they lost 1–2 to Team Yandex in the upper bracket. Today at 12:00 p.m. Moscow time, AI will face Team Liquid in a knockout match.
After TI 2026, Danil “gpk” Skutin announced his decision to take a break, which could last until New Year’s. The team’s support player, Vitaly “Save-” Melnik, has moved up to the second position, and Georgy “swedenstrong” Zainalabidov and coach Alexander “TORONTOTOKYO” Khertek have also joined the team.
