In a video on his YouTube channel, streamer Mikhail “Misha” Agatov analyzed the debut of Astra Invicta’s revamped roster featuring Egor “Nightfall” Grigorenko. He believes the team has a maximum of two months to deliver results, but he still has faith in the roster’s potential.
It’s been a long time since we’ve seen unsponsored Tier 1 teams hoping to make a name for themselves by achieving strong results in a short period of time. That’s the whole point of such teams.
If they don’t deliver outstanding results within a month—or two at most—they’ll lose their players. First, other organizations will snap them up because they have no contracts, no salaries, and no obligations. Second, the players might just quit. lorenof, KuroKy, and Nightfall might simply get tired of this team.
On paper, everything looks very interesting. We have Nightfall and lorenof—very aggressive cores who want to take up a lot of space. At the same time, there’s a very self-sacrificing DM who’s ready to give up that space. And GH and OmaR play very self-sacrificing support roles. GH is ready to give everything as Dazzle. And OmaR isn’t some Save- or 9Class type—he just does his job.
So conceptually, this is a very interesting team, and one with a bunch of standout personalities. There’s the star player lorenof, and there are the old-school veterans—KuroKy, now a coach, and GH. Both have won The International. Then there’s Nightfall.
The GH-Nightfall duo should provide a very reliable offlane, which will drive the entire early game. I want them to show consistency. These are two very consistent players lately. GH has really become consistent, and Nightfall always has been, is, and will be.
I played with DM on the same team; we played together at OG. Even before that, early in our careers, we played together once. He’s ready to tank any tough matchup.
He’s always saying, “Guys, you can triple-pick the easy hero; I’ll handle the two-man lane on my own. Give me the worst hero in the draft—I’ll tank him. Get yourselves some good picks; I’ll find my own role.”
I hope this lasts the whole season. I hope someone signs them. I suggest LGD—let them sign them.
I think the team has insane potential, and it’ll be a blast watching them. Objectively, they fight pretty well. They have their slip-ups, but they’re made up of high-skill players. Plus, they have a good coach.
They really had a good start, you have to admit. Strong draft: they held their own against PARIVISION, who broke through on both sides at the 31-minute mark. So I’m thrilled with this team’s debut.
Astra Invicta lost to PARIVISION 0–2, then shut out BetBoom Team. Next up at PARI UNIVERSE by FISSURE, Yegor “Nightfall” Grigorenko’s team will face LEGION and Team Spirit.
