Thorin criticized the decision to hold the second Major of 2027 in China
British analyst Duncan “Thorin” Shields expressed his dissatisfaction on his personal page on social media platform X regarding the choice of venue for the upcoming Counter-Strike 2 Major.
Wonderful. I love this decision to sacrifice Europe—the region with the highest viewership—for the sake of completely fabricated growth in the Chinese audience. It’s great that this kind of experiment has been repeated time and time again over the decades. Now the dumbest and most self-centered idiots will be explaining to the community why people should put up with awful broadcast times for the sake of a country that nobody cares about.
Earlier, tournament operator Perfect World officially announced that China will host the second Major of 2027. As of the publication of the official statement, the organizers had not named a specific host city for the competition.
