Valve has introduced a three-month restriction on changing VRS regions
Valve has updated the supplementary regulations for Counter-Strike 2 Majors, adding a three-month restriction on changing regions in the VRS ranking.
According to the updated rules, a team can be assigned to a specific region only if it has not appeared in the VRS rankings of another region during the previous three calendar months.
As a result, teams will no longer be able to quickly change their VRS region in order to secure a regional invite to a Major.

Previously, changing VRS regions was a hot topic of discussion following roster changes at Sashi Esport and BC.Game Esports, which significantly increased the teams’ chances of qualifying for the PGL Singapore Major 2026.
