“We’ll win even more trophies in the future”—HEROIC members reacted to their victory at Stake Ranked Episode 3

In an interview at Stake Ranked Episode 3, HEROIC’s players and coach shared their thoughts after defeating K27 in the tournament final.
Team captain “susp” Ongström spoke about the short preparation time leading up to the tournament:
We only had a week to practice, and everyone did a great job considering that. I think we have good chemistry, and starting our journey together with a win makes it even more enjoyable.
Kristoffer “Chr1zN” Storgård spoke about his new team and praised the coaches:
Of course, this is the best fit for me right now—if I can put it that way without offending anyone. Everyone is in their right place now, and that makes things much easier. Everyone gave it their all during the short time we had. All my teammates did a great job, and I’d especially like to single out our coaching staff, who did an excellent job. A huge thank you to all of them—and, of course, to our fans as well.
Jonas “doto” Forss pointed out the need for further development of the roster:
To be honest, I feel right now that we still have a lot to improve. I already wrote about this yesterday—there are issues in many areas—but we’re just getting started, so there’s still plenty of room for growth. The most positive thing about us right now, I think, is our mindset. Everyone is really happy, enjoying each other’s company and the game. And that’s actually very important, because sometimes a positive attitude is exactly what’s needed to win in crucial rounds.
Antonio “Martinez” Martínez Sánchez shared his first impressions of playing on an international roster:
For me, this is just the beginning of the journey; it’s still tough for me right now because this is my first international team, and I haven’t fully adjusted yet. Despite that, I really enjoy playing with these guys—it feels great, and I’m happy to be here.
Ludwig “Brollan” Brolin reflected on the unexpectedly quick triumph of the revamped roster:
Of course, I couldn’t have expected such a result at our very first event, because we didn’t even have time to train properly. In any case, this early success is a very positive sign, and I think we’ll see even more of the same in the future.
Linus “nilo” Bergman admitted that he had long dreamed of playing on the same team as his compatriot:
Of course, a lot has changed for me with the roster update—mainly Brollan joining the team. Playing alongside him was a little dream of mine, because he’s an incredibly strong and experienced teammate from whom I learn something new every day. I want to thank all our fans and say that we’ll win even more trophies in the future.
Yesterday, HEROIC defeated K27 in the grand final of Stake Ranked Episode 3 with a 3-0 map score in the best-of-5 series and emerged as the event’s champion, earning $25,000 in prize money. In addition, nilo and Martinez also made it into the top ten players of the tournament based on individual statistics.
