X5G7V on qw1nk1: “His aim and shooting are simply incredible.”

K27 captain Daniil “X5G7V” Maryshev, in an interview on Stake Ranked Episode 3, listed the strengths and weaknesses of Daniil “qw1nk1” Kabilov, and also discussed his collaboration with Alexander “shalfey” Marenov.
On qw1nk1’s challenges
To be honest, his English is terrible. I’ve played with him a few times on FPL and heard him give instructions that were half in Russian and half in English. No one could understand him, and he felt uncomfortable.
On shalfey and the team
shalfey is currently with us as a stand-in. It was difficult to find a player who could step in for us, but Alex agreed. We played four or five practice matches with him. Both the coach and I tried to explain what he should do in various rounds. Every day, I try to tell him more and more about our gameplay and what’s expected of him. Since he’s an IGL, just like me, it’s pretty easy to work with him—he makes the right calls in a variety of situations. We have good communication among ourselves. We play as a mix, but I’m aiming to incorporate more team plays. It’s getting easier to play every day, especially for our younger players, for whom this tournament is their second or third LAN in Europe. The first day was tough for everyone, and shalfey hadn’t played for a year or so at that point. We were coming off a break, so it was important to get back into shape.
About qw1nk1 and the other players
First of all, his aim and shooting are simply incredible, to be honest. He’s the best on our team in that regard—he has the best aim. But the other guys are good too, like xeedo.
Earlier, K27 defeated 3DMAX in a match on the third day of Stake Ranked Episode 3 and advanced to the lower bracket final of the event. The Russian team closed out Ancient with a score of 13–3 and Cache with a score of 13–6. For its part, the French team was eliminated from the tournament in 4th place, taking home $11,000 in prize money.
