MOUZ captain Dorian “xertioN” Berman, in an interview at PGL Masters Bucharest 2026, assessed the team’s performance early in the season, discussed his new roles, and explained why he considers Adrian “xelex” Vince a promising player.
We’ve definitely started the season very well—better than we could have expected. We’ve added two new players to the roster. As of now, it’s only been 51 days since we assembled our current roster. Even I was a little surprised when the coach pointed that out. Everything is going great, and I’m very happy about that. <...> We’ve already proven ourselves—regardless of whether people acknowledge it or not. After all, the results speak for themselves. In recent tournaments, we’ve played at the level of the top two or three teams in the world. We have two young players, and I’m still getting used to my role as captain. On top of that, the roster is completely new, so achieving these results already is very impressive. If you look at Team Falcons, which is facing serious difficulties, it becomes clear just how important team-building, player selection, and the relationships between players are. We’ve demonstrated several truly important things that say a lot about us and how exactly we want to operate as a team. Of course, we’ve made mistakes, but that’s CS—everything is complicated here. I’m very proud of each and every one of our players.
xelex is definitely one of the players with a bright future ahead of him. I enjoy watching him play. He has incredible mechanics for CS2, and I’ve never had a teammate with that level of mechanical skill before. He’s really interesting to watch because I learn a lot just by observing how he moves.
The reason I play the positions I do on defense is that I can be very helpful to the team through communication. That’s why I’ll always stick to this principle: if I think xelex can get more kills in my position than I can, and will generally be more helpful to the team, then I’ll put him in that position. That’s not a problem for me. On the attack side, I’ve already given up many of the roles I’m used to. For example, I used to be very good as a playmaker, but now I’m the captain. I want to take a step back. I want to support him. I want to be there to call plays during the round and handle things like that. That’s exactly how our current system works. So I definitely don’t think I’m building the game around myself. But, at the end of the day, I don’t need to prove anything to anyone.
This will be the first time we’ve been on the road for so long with this roster. Of course, over the years, the core of the team has been through this many times, but for the younger players, this will definitely be a new experience. They’ll definitely need to figure out how to manage their energy and balance all of this with the other aspects of their lives. We’re also trying to set the best example for them as the more experienced players on the team—perhaps myself, torzsi, and Spinx, as well as, of course, the coach. But overall, I think we’re on an excellent trajectory. Right now, I can say with confidence that we’re one of the best teams in the world—not just one of the top two or three, as I’ve said before. And yes, I think this roster has unlimited potential. The main thing is to focus on the work, keep working hard, and pay attention to what we can control.
