In an interview following the grand final of PGL Masters Bucharest 2026, the players and coach of FURIA’s CS2 roster shared their thoughts on winning the tournament. They assessed Nemiga Gaming’s performance, discussed communication issues, and explained how they prepared for their opponent.
Yuri “yuurih” Santos explained what the team still needs to work on:
As a team, we still have room to grow. In this tournament, just like the previous one, each of us played exceptionally well. Sometimes our communication suffers during a match, but we discuss this every day and look at exactly what we can improve. This is FURIA—we get better with every match. I’m proud of my teammates.
For his part, Kaike “KSCERATO” Serato recalled how the grand final unfolded:
The grand final started off pretty slowly; our opponent played very well. We lost some firefights, but we still managed to make a comeback.
Marek “YEKINDAR” Galinskis talked about the plan for the match against Nemiga Gaming:
Nemiga Gaming is one of those unconventional teams where you only figure out how to play against them once you actually face them. I told my teammates that we needed to be much more confident in ourselves to take our opponents out of their comfort zone. That’s exactly what we planned to do. However, our attack on Mirage was terrible. But in the end, we still took home the trophy—one more before FalleN’s departure.
Team captain Gabriel “FalleN” Toledo praised the opponent after the final:
Nemiga Gaming played incredibly well; they’re a very smart team. Their players performed so well that it’s hard to believe given their average age. They know how to slow down the pace at the right moment to make their opponents overthink their next moves. So this team didn’t make it to the grand final by accident: they beat the top teams and deserve to be here. And we’re happy with another trophy.
Sydney “sidde” Masedo, the team’s coach, summed up the tournament for the team:
For me, it’s always been important to see how we grow in a competitive environment, even if we don’t have a perfect start or the best result in the group stage. The most important thing is our performance in the playoffs and the grand final. So I hope we continue to develop as a team.
Earlier, FURIA defeated Nemiga Gaming 3–2 in the grand final of PGL Masters Bucharest 2026 and earned $450,000. The team secured a spot in the playoffs only on the final day of the group stage. In October, FURIA also won the Thunderpick World Championship 2026.
