1win Essence II Dota 2 Preview: Format, Roster, and Day One Schedule
Tomorrow, July 30, the first matches of 1win Essence II in Dota 2 will take place. The tournament format, team rosters, prize pool distribution, and schedule for the first day of competition are detailed below.
Format
The tournament will run from July 30 to August 5. Participants will be divided into two groups of five teams each and will play each other in a round-robin format over two maps. Points will be awarded for each game won. Two teams from each group will advance to the upper bracket, another two to the lower bracket, and the rest will be eliminated from the competition. In the playoffs, teams will be placed in a two-tier bracket with best-of-three series, and the grand final will be a best-of-five series.
