Ace named the best heroes for boosting MMR in Dota 2: Vengeful Spirit, Nature’s Prophet, Drow Ranger, and Snapfire.

Team Liquid offlaner Markus Folke “Ace” Helgard Christensen named the best heroes for boosting MMR in Dota 2 on his personal YouTube channel.
About Vengeful Spirit
She’s a carry now, and, admittedly, a really good one. In Patch 7.41, her base attack speed was reduced from 1.7 to 1.5, and in 7.41d, +0.5 was added to her base health regeneration, and Magic Missile’s damage was increased from 85 to 100 at level 1. On paper, the numbers don’t look spectacular, but combined with the rework of Vengeance Aura and the new passive ability Retribution, the hero becomes an auto-attack machine.
The Retribution passive grants her an additional 20% damage against an enemy hero who has attacked an ally under your control. Vengeance Aura at max level with Aghanim’s Scepter already provides Vengeful Spirit with a 35% damage bonus, and the illusion also receives this bonus.
About Nature’s Prophet
Nature’s Prophet is back in the top lane, all thanks to one massive change in Patch 7.41d. The key change is the rework of Spirit of the Forest. Now, a live Treant always grants him bonus damage, even if it’s far outside the ability’s radius. Previously, the Treants had to be nearby to grant the buff.
Now, you can summon trees, send them anywhere on the map, and still receive bonus damage. This completely changes the playstyle. Add to that the general buffs from 7.41: the damage multiplier from Spirit of the Forest per Treant has been doubled—from 1 to 2. The summoned creatures themselves now have 25% magic resistance and bonus damage against heroes, which scales with talents, and they can now move freely through trees. They’ve become a full-fledged combat unit, rather than just cannon fodder, as they were before.
About Drow Ranger
She wasn’t directly changed in 7.41d, but the cumulative buffs from patches 7.41b and 7.41c make her one of the strongest carries right now. Previous updates gave her +2 to base Agility and increased her starting damage from 49–56 to 51–58, as well as changing the bonus damage of Frost Arrows: from 10/15/20/25 to 12/18/24/30. This is a massive buff, and her level 25 talent for Multishot waves has been increased from +1 to +2. Add to that the previous rework—she can now move at 35% of her movement speed and use items right in the middle of casting—and you have a true farming and fighting machine. Aghanim’s Scepter is crucial here because many enemies now have high survivability: Lifestealer’s healing, Juggernaut’s Healing Ward, Treant Protector’s regeneration, and her Hypothermia disables healing on hit.
About Snapfire
In Patch 7.41d, Snapfire was slightly nerfed: her innate ability no longer triggers on denai and structures. The healing from Aghanim’s Shard on Firesnap Cookie has been reduced to 175, and her level 15 talent has been slightly nerfed. Nevertheless, she’s still overpowered in the mid lane. The reason for this is “Booms to,” which allows Snapfire to deal more damage with her attacks and abilities the closer she is to her target; the bonus reaches a maximum of 35% and decreases with distance, and this also applies to her items.
Earlier, PARIVISION support player Edgar “9Class” Naltakyan shared a list of the best heroes for the fourth position; in his opinion, the strongest characters are: Keeper of the Light, Hoodwink, Pudge, Earth Spirit, and Treant Protector.
