Astini on Asao: “He becomes a completely different person once he’s forced to be under surveillance.”

Team Nemesis coach Filipe “Astini” Astini Ribeiro discussed the allegations of cheating against “Quarter” on his personal X page and discussed with former esports coach Julian “Flapjack” Carbajal Ilave the possibility of proving the use of cheats.
Astini: In Asao’s case, I’m practically certain that an analysis of his camera movement patterns would have given him away. He becomes a completely different player once he’s forced to be under surveillance. Before that, he constantly moves the camera to the edges of the screen, and then suddenly stops.
Flapjack: Even with ironclad evidence, it’s impossible to prove that it’s 100% cheating. We even tried interviewing these players, and they had an excuse for every suspicious moment. You can tell they’re using it, but you can’t prove it.
Astini: That’s exactly why I’m doing everything I can to bring in the best minds in our community to prove it. There are many programmers in Brazil who can actually fight this with code and find patterns.
I also know I’ll get a lot of hate because cheating is often linked to the mafia organizing fixed matches. I’m getting myself into a big mess; I know there will be tons of bots spewing nonsense, but I’ll fight for fair matches in Dota 2 until the very end.
Earlier, Filipe “Astini” Astini Ribeiro spoke out about the number of dishonest players in Dota 2: “The South American region is flooded with cheaters; at least half the teams use them. I hope Valve takes notice of this.”
