BetBoom Streamers Battle 14 Dota 2 Preview: Format, Participants, and Prize Pool
The first matches of BetBoom Streamers Battle 14 will begin tomorrow. Read on for details on the tournament format, team rosters, and prize pool distribution.
Format and Group Lineups
Eight teams are participating in the tournament, divided into two groups, with each team playing every other team in its group. The group winners will advance to the upper bracket semifinals of the playoffs, while the second- and third-place finishers will move on to the upper quarterfinals; the remaining teams will be eliminated. The following rule applies to all matches: the first map of the series is a standard Captain’s Draft, and for subsequent maps, all heroes selected in previous games of the match are removed from the pool, and a new random set of heroes is generated. All matches will be played in a best-of-3 (bo3) format, and the grand final will be a best-of-5 (bo5).

Six teams will advance to the playoffs: four to the upper bracket quarterfinals and two to the semifinals. The teams will compete in a double-elimination format.
