Dota 2 Update from June 29: Bugs related to item swaps in the “Carnival Candy Shop” have been fixed

On the night of June 29, the Dota 2 developers released a minor update that focused on fixes to the interface for the “Dark Carnival” in-game event, updating the game’s core archives, and updating the client and server components for all operating systems.

Changes and additions have been made to the scripts and interface of the “Dark Carnival” in-game event.
- Fixed a bug that allowed the Carnival Pie item to reveal a player’s true identity after using Manta Style, Doppelganger, Disruption, or simply creating illusions.
- Fixed an issue related to item replacement in the “Carnival Candy Shop.”
- Fixed a bug with the calculation of replacements after matches ended.
- Updated the game’s VPK archives containing Dota 2 resources.
- Updated signature service files and Steam Workshop tools.
- Changes have been made to the game client and server files for Windows, macOS, and Linux.
The update size is approximately 31 MB.
Valve previously released a new event in Dota 2 called “The Dark Carnival.” It is divided into three chapters, and as players progress through the interactive map using tickets earned in matches, they can earn rewards, treasure chests, and themed cosmetic items.
