Dota 2 Update from October 10, 2026: Ability to gift sets from the Trove of Terror
On the night of October 10, the developers released an update that allowed players to gift Trove of Terror sets, but limited this feature to a specific time period.
List of Changes
- Added a setting that allows you to toggle the display of active personas in the hero grid.
- Fixed a bug that prevented Tidehunter’s new voice lines from working in the Chinese client when equipped with the Maw of the Megalodon Arcana set.
- Items from the Trove of Terror can now be gifted within 30 days of receipt. Players have been compensated for sets that were already forged with new treasure chests—one chest for every 6 sets, rounded up.
The update size was 124.4 MB.
Initially, the contents of this treasure chest could be sent as a gift, but shortly after its release, Valve disabled this feature, making the sets completely non-transferable—similar to the “Treasure of Wonders” released in June, where duplicates can only be reforged into new copies of the chest.

Previously, the developers fixed a visual bug with Naga Siren that caused her to display incorrect textures. Additionally, the Arcana items Legion Commander and Terrorblade were renamed to sets.
