Dota’s ranked meta for the past week (September 21–27, 2026)
Following the release of Patch 7.41f, Bounty Hunter remains on the list of Dota 2’s top heroes, while Shadow Fiend has one of the lowest win rates in the game. These and other statistics were compiled by the Dota2ProTracker portal.

Explanation of tiers
- S-tier — the best heroes in the meta;
- A-tier — consistent and strong heroes;
- B-tier — less effective than A-tier heroes, but still good enough for regular play;
- C-tier — niche heroes that require very favorable conditions or exceptional skill;
- D-tier — weak heroes who offer nothing to the team compared to heroes from higher tiers;
- F-tier — the worst heroes in the game, unlikely to lead to a victory.
Hero Popularity and Win Rate
In the 6,500–8,500 MMR range, the most popular heroes were Winter Wyvern, Bounty Hunter, and Keeper of the Light. The popularity of these heroes increases with rating, peaking in the 8,000–8,500 MMR range, where they account for 78.9%, 94.2%, and 53.9% of picks, respectively. These heroes’ win rates consistently stay above 50%, peaking at different ranges. For Winter Wyvern and Bounty Hunter, the best range is 7,500–8,000, with win rates of 55.5% and 57%, respectively. Keeper of the Light performs best in the 6,500–7,000 range, where his win rate is 53.9%.
The worst heroes in terms of the ratio of popularity to win rate are Warlock and Shadow Demon. Both heroes have a pick rate of around 8% in the 6,500–8,000 MMR range. Their win rate across this entire range hovers around 46%. In the 8,000–8,500 MMR range, Nature’s Prophet is the only hero suitable for statistical analysis, as he has been played in more than 100 matches. He has a pick rate of 15.6% and a win rate of 46.3%.
Shadow Fiend deserves special mention, as he continues to appear in approximately 35% of matches across all MMR brackets, yet is one of the worst heroes in the game in terms of win rate, reaching a low of 38.9% in the 7,500–8,000 MMR bracket.
Meta Trends
With Patch 7.41f, the dynamics of drafts in ranked matches have changed significantly. Outworld Destroyer (+24.6%), Dragon Knight (+19.4%), and Sven (+11%). It’s worth noting that these heroes did not see a significant increase in their win rate, and Sven even lost 0.4%.
Shadow Fiend (-41.2%), Underlord (-20.8%), and Lina (-16.9%) took the hardest hit in terms of pick rate. Along with the drop in contest, their win rates also fell, with Shadow Fiend suffering the most, losing 9.9% of its win rate.
Ursa performed better than the rest: the hero gained 4.9% in win rate, and his pick rate rose by 3%.
The latest Dota 2 update was Patch 7.41f, which mostly introduced nerfs to the strongest heroes. Treant Protector, Earth Spirit, and Shadow Fiend received the most significant nerfs in the patch.
