EPL Masters I Preview: Format, Roster, and Day One Schedule
Today, July 26, the group stage matches of the EPL Masters I Dota 2 tournament will begin. The tournament format, team rosters, and schedule for the first day of play are detailed below.
Format
Participants are divided into two groups of six teams each; every team will play every other team in a best-of-three series. Points are awarded for winning maps—even if a team loses the series 1-2. Two teams from each group will advance to the playoffs, while the rest will be eliminated from the event. In the playoffs, teams will be placed in a two-tier bracket with best-of-three series, including the final.
