Former pro player Igor “iLTW” Filatov responded to Astra Invicta coach Kuro “KuroKy” Salehi Tahasomi during a livestream. KuroKy had called Nigma Galaxy’s failure to remove iLTW from the roster for too long his biggest mistake.
He wrote that my biggest mistake—or rather, his biggest mistake—was that they kept me on the team. But guys, I can tell you all about it. I can recount everything perfectly, exactly as it was back then. I can tell you exactly how it was—I remember that time very well, believe me. I remember everything. <…> I even remember the games we played. We played in official matches. It was just *** [horrible].
I got a call from OG after the qualifiers for The International [The International 2021]. We didn’t make it through <…>, and Misha texted me, saying, “Go to OG instead of Yuragi.” And you know what? I texted him back, “No.” I told him I believed in Nigma, I believed in my team. Although deep down I knew the team was already dead, *** [damn], because what GH was doing with MinD_ContRoL <…> was just *** [horrible], just a total *** [nightmare]. I played really well on that team, guys—you know, I played really well.
And now I see that KuroKy is writing this. <…> It upsets me, you know, it really upsets me. Yeah, after COVID-19 hit—remember, COVID-19 hit—my skill level *** [horrible] took a massive nosedive. Back then I became total cannon fodder, dropping straight to rank 1,000. But up until that point, guys, believe me, I, *** [damn], was definitely a very good player. Then I lost my rhythm.
iLTW played for Nigma Galaxy from April 2021 to May 2022, and in early 2019 he was already playing for OG on loan. In September 2021, Mikhail “Misha” Agatov—a longtime partner of Igor’s, including from their time at Team Spirit—became OG’s head coach. In November, Misha joined OG’s revamped roster as a player, alongside Artem “Yuragi” Golubev. KuroKy currently coaches Astra Invicta, which finished in 7th–8th place at PARI UNIVERSE by FISSURE.
