“Juggernaut is cursed”—the Russian-speaking community reacts to the Grand Final of The International 2026

The Russian-speaking Dota 2 community has reacted on social media to Team Spirit’s victory at The International 2026.

Caster Vladimir “Maelstorm” Kuzminov congratulated Team Spirit:

I’m speechless.

It all came down to the final. Compared to last year... there’s just no comparison to last year.

Thank you to everyone who watched; we gave it our all in this final.

Spirit are legends. There’s never been anything like this, and there probably never will be. Three-time champions. An epic final—Jager is cursed. I feel bad for Nuna.

See you next season.

Team Falcons mid-laner Stanislav “Malr1ne” Potorak expressed regret over Vladimir “No[o]ne-” Minenko’s result.

I feel really bad for Duku and Vovan, especially. They’ve been trying for years now, and it just hasn’t worked out. I hope they’ll still make it happen!!
And congrats to Spirit—they managed to pull it together before The International and win with a new player.

Analyst Gleb “y0nd” Vagnov noted the lack of announcements regarding upcoming updates and the next venue for The International:

And now the burning question—WHERE ARE THE ANNOUNCEMENTS?!

Your admin followed the entire tournament from 5 a.m. every match day, start to finish, and was hoping for something before the finals.
Last year, there was only an announcement for The International—they left out the hero reveal, which was already disappointing to many.

But today we didn’t even get an announcement for The International—absolutely NOTHING.
Now all we can do is wait and wonder when the next tournament will be, or if there even will be one.

It’s a bit sad, since for many years in a row we’d consistently get announcements on the final day.
Back in the day, they’d even show two heroes—one might come out right away, but they’d always reveal at least one hero. Yes, Largo was released at the end of last year, but without a prior announcement on Inta. Now, literally nothing.
The tradition is gone—IMHO, what do you think? Your admin is in a total mess over this.

Community caster Yaroslav “NS” Kuznetsov also shared his confusion about the next tournament in the series:

Jokes aside, where’s the announcement for the next Inta?

Is that it?

Commentator Daria “Eiritel” Morozova highlighted the achievements of Team Spirit’s players:

Congrats to the guys—that was a legendary win. But I especially want to congratulate

the genius “not me”
Rue, who didn’t chicken out and switched positions at the end of the season
; Larl and his balls
of steel; and Miposhka, who got his ass off the couch and snagged the coach’s trophy

And everyone else, of course. You’re all amazing, guys and gals in the org—I’m with you through thick and thin, as always

Aurora Gaming support player Miroslav “Mira” Kolpakov spoke about Team Spirit’s influence on Dota 2:

When Team Spirit wins The International, it breathes new life into Dota
