MiLAN on Yatoro’s first Outworld Destroyer: “We’re trying to bring new ideas to the game”
Team Spirit coach Milan “MiLAN” Kozomara explained in an interview at BLAST SLAM VIII what prompted the team to pick Outworld Destroyer for Ilya “Yatoro” Mulyarchuk, considering that the player had never picked this hero on the pro scene before.
It was more of a decision by the team and our coach Illidan—he’s famous for his Outworld Destroyer play. I’d say he’s one of the most legendary players on that hero. So we chose him. We’ve practiced this hero before—it didn’t work out for us, but we’re still trying to bring new ideas to the game. Because the patch has fundamentally changed the carry role. Otherwise, the heroes would have been the same, so we’re just trying to make everyone happy, including ourselves.
Team Spirit lost the map featuring Outworld Destroyer for Ilya “Yatoro” Mulyarchuk. However, that was their only loss in the best-of-three series against Aurora Gaming—the match ended with a 2-1 victory for the “Dragons.”
