Our top priority is to rebuild the fundamental gameplay principles and discipline that originally led us to success. We’ve proven that we’re capable of competing at the highest level, but the reality is that for quite some time now, we haven’t been performing anywhere near the level we expect of ourselves.
As the coach, I take responsibility for helping the team get back on track. And we need to start by improving the quality of our practices, our communication, and our attitude toward our own mistakes—for which each of us must take responsibility.
It’s not easy, and I don’t think there’s any point in pretending otherwise. Such a long losing streak takes a toll on everyone’s confidence, especially when you know what this team is capable of. But at some point, disappointment must turn into action.
We can no longer rely on past achievements. Now we need to earn our results again through hard work, discipline, and taking responsibility for what’s within our control.
I think the key is to see real improvements. It’s very hard to stay confident when you lose time and time again, and no amount of motivational speeches will fix that. Confidence comes from quality work, noticeable progress, and trust in the people around you.
Our task now is to create an atmosphere where everyone strives to improve and everyone has the opportunity to progress. Victories always help boost morale, but first and foremost, we need to rebuild the foundation that will allow us to win.
1w Team has suffered a six-game losing streak: two losses at BLAST SLAM VIII and four at PARI UNIVERSE by FISSURE. Streamer Mikhail “Misha” Agatov noted that the team’s problem is discipline: “This might be the team with the worst approach to the game in the entire pro scene.”
