OneJey and kaffs commented on their loss to BetBoom Team at BLAST SLAM VIII
OG support Ivan “OneJey” Zhivitsky and the Western European club’s coach, Igor “kaffs” Estevao, spoke out about their loss in the first match of the group stage at BLAST SLAM VIII.
OneJey urged fans to keep supporting the team:
...> We got crushed, but it’s no big deal—it happens. We’ll make a comeback against MOUZ today; it’s no big deal. Keep cheering us on. <...>
kaffs addressed his team:
I want you to understand and believe that today was an important day. Our performance against BetBoom was very good. They’re not a weak team, and we confidently beat them on the second map; on the third, we should have won. I want you to realize that if we hadn’t worked so hard—I don’t know… let’s say for two weeks—without hard work, reviewing replays, and practice, we wouldn’t have had a chance at all.
OG lost to BetBoom Team 1–2. The second map lasted 32 minutes and ended in a victory for kaffs’ team, but BB Team ultimately proved stronger in the 87-minute showdown. OG is now playing a do-or-die match against MOUZ. The winner will advance in the tournament and face either Team Yandex or BB Team in the decisive match.
