pma on daze joining Natus Vincere: “I feel like the team has gotten a bit of a refresh.”

Natus Vincere players Artem “Niku” Bachkur and Yuri “pma” Prots spoke about Tamir “daze” Tokpanov joining the team in a vlog on the team’s YouTube channel.
On how daze has changed since OG
Niku: He’s actually changed quite a bit, because I remember that he started bringing in more of his own ideas from his previous teams. All his patterns from his past teams, all his calls. It was kind of interesting to get to know that side of him, and I felt the difference between the daze back then and the daze now.
pma: He’s become a lot more serious. I was worried that Tamir wouldn’t fit into our team quickly in terms of his understanding of the map. I mean, for some reason I thought that since we beat them in qualifiers—we were constantly traveling to tournaments there, and Tamir was often sitting in qualifiers, playing some regular tournaments— For some reason, I thought Tamir didn’t really know the map as well as we do, for example. But he often says the right things about the map and about split-pushing. Overall, when we discuss certain points, Tamir often chimes in and shares his well-founded opinion.
On Zayac’s kick
pma: I didn’t know how to respond to that. Of course, there are a ton of thoughts running through my head. After all, my lifestyle is to take more blame on myself. That’s why I also didn’t finish plays often enough, didn’t do things right. With daze, I wouldn’t say things got much worse. On the contrary, it seems to me the team has somehow refreshed itself. It seems like, in the end, things have gotten much better now that we have daze.
On gotthejuice’s new role
pma: To be honest, we’ll still be talking about this in the future. We’ll probably have practice sessions soon. I’d like us to talk to the team about this. In my opinion, trying to take on absolutely everything is just idiotic. Resources need to be properly distributed within the team. And everyone should be doing at least something and be responsible for something.
Earlier, Natus Vincere support player Tamir “daze” Tokpanov spoke about his return to the club, noting that he hadn’t expected this turn of events and received an offer from NAVI only after playing for other teams. The player also stated that he is now focused on his role as a player and has changed his approach to the game, becoming more reserved in his assessments and goals.
