Professional player and Team Yandex ambassador Roman “RAMZES” Kushnarev shared recommendations for Crystal Maiden and Dragon Knight builds during a stream.
With CM, it’s totally fine to play Dota with the Shard. She’s a cool hero who farms *** [a lot]. If you buy Aghanim’s and a BKB, you can dominate the game with CM.
[Question: “Hey, what do you think about building DK with Orchid instead of Octarine?”]
It’s fine, but it just doesn’t make sense, bro. It just doesn’t make sense. You’ll probably get Orchid after Octarine. Orchid is fine, but I think you’re playing with a slightly different build. It seems to me that you get Octarine first, and then decide whether to go for Orchid or Aghanim’s, depending on what you need most.
Aghanim’s Shard grants Crystal Maiden the Crystal Clone ability, which creates a crystal clone of the hero—when it disappears, nearby units are affected by Frostbite, dealing 4 times more damage to creeps.
According to Dotabuff, over the past month, Dragon Knight with an Octarine Core has won 67% of his matches—this statistic does not include high-rated lobbies in Immortal Draft mode, access to which is restricted by the developers.
