Saksa on DM: “He’s pretty easy to get along with, which is why I enjoy working with the new offlaner.”

Team Yandex support Martin “Saksa” Sazdov spoke in an interview at BLAST Slam VII after winning the grand final about his experience playing with Dmitry “DM” Dorokhin, shared his thoughts on superstitions surrounding The International, and reflected on the importance of the Esports World Cup 2026.
About DM
You have to adapt. I think we’re still learning what really matters on the lane. Sometimes I tell him we need to push, but he wants to hold the creep wave. Right now we’re trying to get on the same page: what’s actually good and what isn’t. But he’s pretty easy to communicate with, which is why I enjoy working with the new offlaner.
On superstitions at The International 2026
I used to believe in it, but now I don’t think it’s that important. The curse is only real because people get cocky after winning a tournament before TI, start to relax, and get irritated more easily. So if you approach it with the right mindset, there’s no curse.
On the Esports World Cup 2026
At the very least, if you perform poorly at the Esports World Cup 2026, you’ll be able to raise the Aegis afterward. I’m ready to experiment at the EWC, that’s for sure.
Earlier, the international Dota 2 community shared their reactions to the BLAST Slam VII Grand Final between Team Yandex and LGD Gaming, which ended with a score of 3-1. The tournament took place from June 26 to May 7, with a total prize pool of $1,000,000.
